The zip’d file you download needs to be unzipped, so if double-clicking doesn’t open it and produce a new separate file that’s a folder, then try right-clicking on the zip’d file. If you’re on a Mac and don’t have a 2-click mouse, Option-click. Choose “unzip” or “archive utility” or similar, to unzip the file. Inside the resulting folder called “cracks” is a file called “cracks.abr” – The abr means it’s an Adobe Brush file. If you double-click that, it should automatically get loaded in the brushes palette (panel). Any newly loaded brushes are at the end of the list of current brushes. This won’t show up in the Filter menu because it’s not a filter. It’s a brush in the shape of cracks, to be used like a round brush, with sizes, colors from the toolbox, opacity, etc.
